The College of AG just offers a wealth of different internships and externships to be broad opportunities.

There’s about 2000 internships available every year, so you can kind of take your pick.

The last two summers I interned at Unilever and Kraft Foods.

Sunny Fresh Foods

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, the car company.

Elbe’s volunteer for two weeks with the lion cubs, cheetah cubs.

I worked on a vineyard on the Finger Lakes in New York.

One of my internships was with Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation. I ran their farm.

I actually spent my fall semester doing an internship in Washington, DC.  I worked at the White House.

We get to see real world application of what we’re studying.

My Penn State experience goes far beyond sitting in a classroom and listening to lectures.

I travel a lot with Penn State.

I spent two weeks in Europe.

We spent a day and a half on one of the islands, San Pedro, snorkeling.

I’ll be traveling after graduation to the Netherlands where we will be touring horticulture industries in Europe.

I ended up spending 10 days over spring break in Senbyte, Belize.

Sitting in the classroom, taking notes is the foundation, but when you take that outside of the classroom and you can actually apply that I think that’s where you are really making the difference here.
